A farm designed to build connections.

Located just outside of Madison between Verona and Mount Horeb, Hidden Savanna Farm is a small family farm established in 2012. Hidden Savanna is committed to sustainable practices and respecting both the land we steward and the animals that we raise. We value the connection we have been able to establish between our family and our land and share those experiences though a  wide variety of educational opportunities including experiences for families, homeschoolers, school groups and others interesting in connecting to life on the farm and in the forest.

Pasture raised animals.

In just about any store you can now find "organic" or "sustainable" or "cage free" or "grass -fed" products; however, those labels tell you little about how that animals was raised. Knowing your farmers gives you a chance to see animals and ask questions so you can understand how your food was produced.

More than just a farm.

Hidden Savanna is more than just a small family homestead – it's a community, and a community is only as good as its connections. When we started Hidden Savanna, we envisioned a place where we could connect others to their food, the farm, and the forest. We provide educational opportunities for families and students. And seek individuals who want to explore connections to their world with us at the farm.
