Experiences for Kids

There are so many ways to connect at Hidden Savanna. We are constantly thinking of new ways for kids to engage with the farm. 

Nature and Animal Photography for kids

This is an instructor guided,  but child led photography class. Each session I will introduce a topic in photography, show a couple of examples and then explore the farm and forest to get lots of hands on time shooting with your camera. We will then regroup and share our photos exploring any challenges the students faced while shooting. 

Farm and Forest - Parent CHild Exploration

Learn how to explore nature and food with your child. Each week we will explore an aspect of the farm or forest. We will leave plenty of time to explore and observe in nature and we will prepare a healthy snack from the garden.

Family day on the farm

From time to time we host a family day on the farm. Bring your kids for an interactive tour of the farm and forest.  Hold chicks, collect eggs, harvest from the garden and make a delicious snack. Learn about how we care for all of the animals and explore our oak savanna in transition and how we use animals to help us restore the forest. Bring your own lunch and enjoy a day in nature exploring with your kids.
